The goal of my first cycle was simple. I wanted to increase muscle mass and lose body fat, so basically I wanted to do a recomposition. I also just wanted to feel what Ostarine felt like.

Here were my cycle details:

  • Cycle Length: 12 Weeks

I could have opted to do a shorter cycle duration like 4 weeks or 8 weeks, but it was my first Ostarine cycle, so I wanted to see what kind of results I could get if I did a full cycle.

…and needless to say, the results did not disappoint.

Stats Before & After

I'll give a day-by-day and week-by-week breakdown of what I experienced in a second, but overall I experienced way more physical energy, better cardio sessions, less muscle aches, faster recovery, and as I expected, lean body mass just packed on like it was nothing.

Here were my stats before the cycle:

  • Weight: 163lbs
  • Bodyfat: ~13.5%
  • Bench Press: 225lbs
  • Deadlift: 315lbs
  • Squat: 235lbs
  • Overhead Press: 125lbs

I was in decent shape, but was bulking at the time so had a decent amount of muscle mass on my body, but still needed to lose weight for my abs to really show. They were barely visible.

Here were my stats AFTER the cycle:

  • Weight: 171lbs
  • Bodyfat: ~8%
  • Bench Press: 285lbs
  • Deadlift: 395lbs
  • Squat: 305lbs
  • Overhead Press: 185lbs

As you can see, many of my lifts I was able to add almost 100lbs on. Even experienced bodybuilders can't do this in a YEAR when they aren't on cycle. That's how strong it is.

As I said, when I started this cycle, I was totally new to SARMs (selective androgen receptor modulators) so didn't know what I was doing that much. I was still able to get great muscle gains and burn fat at the same time, however.

Weeks 3-4

By weeks 3-4, Ostarine MK 2866 had bound to all of my androgen receptors, meaning that the MK 2866 was in full effect. It felt amazing. All I had to do was sneeze and I'd pack on lean muscle mass, then sneeze again and I'd get some fat loss.

Weeks 5-6

By now I was fully into the swing of things. I could see the extra muscle mass, and I knew that this selective androgen receptor modulator was working, because of how fast my muscle tissue was recovering, and how I wasn't even sore after the most intense workouts.

Unlike steroids, I noticed almost no side effects. No loss in libido, no acne, no hair loss, and no oily skin. Just pure muscle growth, packing more lean muscle mass on each and every day.

Weeks 7-8

Weeks 11-12

Despite my worries, MK 2866 gave me the same effects the last month as it did the first month – insane strength, awesome endurance, a huge energy boost, and of course, shredding off pounds of fat and packing on slabs of muscle.

Post Cycle

That was it! My Ostarine cycle was complete. Not going to lie, I was pretty worried about muscle loss afterwards, because I'd heard you lose a lot of the gains you make on cycle.

Thankfully, I ended up keeping almost all of my gains due to a good Ostarine PCT. I think I lost around one or two pounds, but my lifts didn't go down at all. This was a HUGE relief.


In conclusion, Ostarine MK 2866 isn't as powerful as anabolic steroids, but according to clinical trials, is still an extremely powerful anabolic agent that will grow muscle tissue.
